 Sadly, a tragic incident occurred in which two persons from Umuechi, two persons from Okuenyi Ntighauzor, and one person from Akpa Mbato in Obingwa drowned in the Ovom River while attending a burial ceremony. Their bodies have been buried by the riverbank today. Rumors are circulating that one of the victims may have been involved in some illicit activity, but this remains speculative.

   A yet to be identified staff of Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company (IBEDC) has been electrocuted while working on a faulty line. It was gathered that the staff was working on a faulty line when electricity was suddenly restored in the area. The staff, who was working on the top of the pole, was electrocuted immediately the electricity was restored. It was gathered on Friday that the incident occurred around West African Examination Council (WAEC) office in Ijokodo area of Ibadan on Tuesday. It took his colleagues several minutes before they could bring him down from the top of the pole. Our correspondent learnt that the victim was immediately rushed to the hospital. Further details about the staff have not been revealed as of the time of filing this report on Saturday.     A pregnant woman and her little kid have been crushed to death by a trailer in Ebonyi State. IGBERE TV gathered that the woman and her little kid were on their way to a popular market located in Ndubia, Izzi local government area of Ebonyi State to sell cassava in order to pay hospital bills of her sick child after when coming back from hospital. As at the time of filing this report, the community has been thrown into mourning as the conductor of the vehicle has been rushed to St-Vincent Hospital Ndubia for medical treatment. According to an eyewitness who shared the report to IGBERE TV correspondent, the driver of the vehicle is not injured but has rushed to a police station to avoid being attacked by angry mob.

A tragic incident occurred on Saturday at Isaiah Morah Close in Awka, the capital of Anambra State, when a three-year-old girl was electrocuted by a fallen high-tension cable belonging to the Enugu Electricity Distribution Company (EEDC).   EKO HOT BLOG reports that the child, whose name was not disclosed, reportedly stepped on the cable while returning home after fetching water. Residents said the cable had fallen since Friday, yet efforts to get the power company to fix it were unsuccessful. According to community members, EEDC officials were contacted immediately after the cable collapse, but they allegedly demanded N30,000 before attending to the issue.   It was reported on Wednesday, January 24 that one 19-year-old girl identified as Chiburuoma Boms ‘was allegedly strangled to death and forced into a septic tank by persons said to be her relations in Elekahia, PHALGA, Rivers state. It was gathered that men of the Elekahia Police Station arrested six persons who are helping the police with investigation while the deceased's corpse has been evacuated from the pit and taken to the mortuary for autopsy. Now according to media personality, Babaduks Ons, the girl's father allegedly dragged and carried her from his house and threw her into the septic tank where she died. According to the report, her father said she brought shame and reproach to him and the family with her "wild lifestyle" and he could not take it anymore. The father reportedly handed himself over to the police after the alleged act.   Teenager kills his 14-year-old friend over phone, dumps body inside septic tank in Niger State The Niger State Police Command has arrested one Yakubu Tanko, 19, for the murder of his 14-year-old friend, Sikiru Tajudeen, in Bosso Local Government Area of the state.     Spokesperson of the command, SP Wasiu Abiodun, who disclosed this in a statement on Saturday, March 30, 2024, said the body of the minor was recovered from a septic tank in the community after he was declared missing.      According to the PPRO, the suspect hit the deceased with a stick, killing him instantly and then hid the corpse in a sack in the kitchen.     Tanko returned with a borrowed wheelbarrow, evacuated the corpse and dumped it in a nearby septic tank, in an attempt to cover the crime.     Upon arrest and interrogation, he confessed to the crime, claiming that he had no reason for his actions, but the deceased had given him a phone to charge for him.  ...

   The Body of a yet-to-be identified young woman was found in a refuse dump in Makurdi, the Benue State Capital. The Body of the Victim was discovered at Nyima Hudco quarters in the early morning of Sunday,  by worshippers heading to church. The Unknown Killers had placed the body in a sack before dumping it at the scene. Nigerian Activist, Ukan Kurugh, who shared photos of the victim, has alerted the police about the incident. “THE POLICE IS NEEDED HERE NOW.   A 21 year old man who was identified as Issac Terkende from Benue State has dies in an accident. His death came barely 24 hours after he stroke a pose for the camera in a coffin.
