A tragic case of a missing young woman has taken a grim turn, as the Edo State Police Command confirmed the arrest of 31-year-old Joshua Osaigbovo in connection with the alleged murder of 21-year-old Osato Festus Edogiaweria. The suspect was taken into custody on June 18, 2025, after weeks of investigation by the police Family Unit and the State Criminal Investigations Department. According to police spokesperson CSP Moses Yamu, Osaigbovo confessed to killing the woman and burying her in a shallow grave near his home in the Iyanomon community, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area.    A plane carrying 242 people has crashed at India's Ahmedabad Airport, according to local media.  The plane, heading to Gatwick, London, crashed when the aircraft was taking off from Ahmedabad airport in India, Reuters cites local TV channels as reporting.  Video circulating on social media shows massive plumes of smoke rising into the sky near the airport in the western city.    People were shown being carried on stretchers and taken away in ambulances.  According to police, the Air India plane crashed in a "civilian area" outside an airport.  The plane crashed into a residential area called Meghani Nagar, Faiz Ahmed Kidwai, the director general of the Directorate of Civil Aviation, has told the Associated Press.    The crash took place five minutes after taking off at 1:38pm local time, he said.   Domestic violence as suffered by men took another dimension on Tuesday in Owerri, the Imo State capital, as a wife {name withheld} cut off her husband’s nose, tip of the tongue and upper teeth after a quarrel. The victim is said to be a medical doctor with the Federal Medical Centre, Owerri. The wife, according to a Twitter user, who claims to be a friend to the victim with the Twitter handle @guchijones, called the mother of the victim to come and carry her son. According to the Twitter user, the doctor was rushed to the hospital and was stabilized. He however disclosed that though he is stable at the moment, he cannot yet talk because he is on tracheostomy. It is not clear what led to the quarrel between the couple and how the woman was able to overpower him to carry out the act.
